Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,

As the year comes to an end, let us be thankful for the good health in our community that has made it possible for us to return to onsite learning this term. 2020 has been such an unprecedented year that will forever be remembered in history for its great challenges as we battle the Coronavirus pandemic. We are fortunate to be living in a world where the technological advancements made it possible for us to adapt and cope with lockdowns and remote learning. I shudder to think about what we would have needed to overcome to continue educating our students otherwise.

To all students and families, thank you for your perseverance and patience in continuing with your learning, remotely and on-site. I am heartened to see the efforts you have made to adapt to such an unfamiliar setting which has now become almost normal. This year we have unfortunately missed out on activities and experiences that were once taken for granted but which we now realise are sorely missed. Even the simple act of being in a classroom together should never ever be taken for granted again.

To all teachers and staff, thank you for your hard work, patience and dedication in ensuring that our students continue to receive the best learning experiences despite the limitations imposed by social distancing and lockdowns. Let us be thankful again that we survived and emerged the better for it.

It has been an arduous journey this year for all of us and remember that:

No matter how good or bad you think life is, wake up each day and be thankful for life. Someone, somewhere else is fighting to survive.

Have a well-deserved summer holiday and stay safe!

Mr Halil Ibrahim
